What is the Public Art Program?
Public art inspires—and a strong public art program brings communities together to celebrate the best of a city's diverse art and culture. It bolsters civic pride, creates meaningful and prominent employment for artists, and attracts tourism and investment.
For over a decade, the London Arts Council has partnered with the City of London's Culture Office to help create new opportunities for public art through the Public Art Policy. The London Arts Council administers this program (on behalf of the Culture Office) by evaluating sites, convening juries for artist selection, and overseeing installation timelines.

Urban Infrastructure Public Art Project Opportunity:
Rapid Transit Bus Shelter Art Project (Stage 2)
Call to Visual Artist for Expressions of Interest (EOIs)
The London Arts Council (LAC), in partnership with the City of London, invites visual artists who are
18 years of age or older and reside in London, Ontario, or in one of the three surrounding First Nations,
including Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames, and MunseeDelaware Nation, to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for consideration in the Rapid Transit Bus Shelter Urban Infrastructure Public Art Project (Stage 2).
Applications must be submitted through the online application system and will be accepted until Friday,
October 16, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
