BUILDING ALLYSHIP
Supporting BIPOC artists in London, ON.
LISTENING SESSIONS
โ
The London Arts Council has organized listening sessions to hear from the BIPOC arts communities.
โ
The LAC hosted two pilot Listening Sessions with the BIPOC artists/arts professionals who have worked with the LAC to co-create these sessions. Recognizing that each Black, Indigenous and, People of Colour community experiences different challenges and barriers, the LAC is organizing Listening Sessions that are intentionally created for each group. Due to the COVID-19, each session will be held on-line with limited attendance (max. 6) in order for every voice to be heard.
PLEASE NOTE:
-
Participants are artists and/or arts professionals who are 18 years of age or order and reside in the city of London.
-
An honourarium of $150 will be paid to each participant for their time and expertise – this includes: Listening Session (2 hrs) and Follow up Session (1 hr). Payment will be made through LAC’s online banking system.
-
Each participant can register for/attend one of the three Listening Sessions.
-
Registration closes one day prior to the session starting
