Referred to as the “One Man Rhythm Section”, local musician Vinnie Vincenzo has been playing
music on stages since the age of 14. Vinnie relocated to London in 1991 and has been
supporting local musicians through hosting open mic nights around town for 31 years.
Vinnie is the founding member of local duo "2 For the Show" playing classic rock favourites
which he also plays on his acoustic guitar. Vinnie has also been heavily involved in drum circles
by hosting and providing drums to anyone who would like to participate.
Trope is an alternative rock band with progressive elements featuring vocalist Diana Studenberg and producer/mixer Moonhead. Some of their influences include STP, Soundgarden, Deftones, Tool, Tori Amos, and Led Zeppelin. The band formed in 2017 and spent a couple of years writing and recording demos which became their debut album, Eleutheromania (2021).
Eleutheromania was engineered by Mike Fraser (ACDC, Metallica), mixed and creative consulted by David Bottrill (Tool, Peter Gabriel) and mastered by Ted Jensen (Alice in Chains, Pantera, Stone Temple Pilots).
“The first album was really a fusing of both the alternative and progressive rock genres, paying homage to our influences.” – Juno nominated songwriter Diana (2021, co-writer The Willoughbys/Netflix).
In 2022, Trope joined The Pineapple Thief feat. Gavin Harrison on a 27-date European tour, seeing the band play in 15 countries, and performed their set acoustically with just guitar and voice. Trope then joined The Pineapple Thief again in the US, for 6 dates on the East Coast, before joining up with Symphony X and Haken for a US National tour playing 27 shows, fully electric. 2023 will see the band join Kings X on select shows in the US and abroad.
Trope have played the main stages at Summerfest for two-consecutive years and were invited on an 18-date European tour with Kings X in 2019 and to open for The Cult in Reno, Nevada, that same year. They’ve played world renowned venues including the Viper Room, The Whisky and the Hollywood Improv and at NAMM at the Sennheiser Booth (2020).
In 2021, Trope’s single Surrogate was chosen as Loudwire’s ‘Best Songs of April Staff Picks’ and Pareidolia climbed to #4 on the Bulgarian Radio Rock Charts and was added to Spotify’s ‘Rock Hard’ editorial playlist. Trope have been featured in Louder Sound, Prog Mag, Metal Hammer Germany (2021) and were featured as one of Heavy Mags’ Top 40 Female Rock Acts in their ‘Ladies of Rock Edition’ (2019) alongside Lzzy Hale, Lacuna Coil, Jinjer, The Runways among others.
Trope endorse Sennheiser, GHS Strings and Warm Audio.
