About the Event
Armed with little more than a leaf-green guitar and a loose tongue, laika berdey is determined to get you singing along to her carefully calibrated blend of emo-rock, pop-punk and indie-folk. whatever the genre, all of her tunes are infused with a sentimental sensibility and a touch of smart aleck-y humour that laughs at itself one minute and sneers at you the next. laika has been performing in London her whole life in various guises: a chorister with Amabile, a jazz vibraphonist, a Royal-Conservatory trained pianist, a classical flautist. these days you’ll find her strumming and singing her way across Ontario as an Emerging Artist with the Canadian Musicians Cooperative and a roster member of the London Arts Council, or you can catch her from anywhere in one of her weekly online livestreams.
