About the Event
When he is not counting beans, you may find Michael Trudgen performing around London as a solo guitarist or along side Leanne Mayer. Michael was chosen as the Forest City London Music Award for Fan Favourite 2021, 98.1Free FM’s Made in London 2017 for his then band With A Fox, and has been a part of the London Arts Live program since 2016.
Lucas Tensen uses his skills as a multi-instrumentalist, instrument maker, vocalist and songwriter to facilitate interactive community events, performances and workshops. After years of classical training as a cellist, Lucas travelled to Senegal in 2008 to learn the kora. Using gourds and wooden salad bowls as resonators, Lucas now makes koras of various shapes and sizes. He also plays the Japanese shakuhachi flute, the rav drum (an instrument similar to the hang drum) and vintage aluminum pots transformed into singing bowls. In 2021, he self-published an illustrated book called 'Earth Anthems: A Songbook for Sharing Gratitude', which includes a 16 track recording and several YouTube lyric videos featuring adult vocalists and a children's chorus.
