Hours: Full time – 35 hours/week

Compensation: Commensurate with experience ($29,500-32,500)

The Assistant, Operations and Programs provides operational and administrative assistance to the Executive Director and Curators. The position performs a variety of administrative, coordination, and logistical services in support of the operations and program deliveries. The Assistant, Operations and Programs position requires a flexible and professional individual who is capable of taking initiative, multi-tasking and can work independently to complete assigned tasks and projects.


  • Carry out administrative tasks as required to facilitate an efficient working environment

  • Assist the Executive Director and Curators with operational tasks

  • Schedule meetings and team building sessions as required

  • Act as the primary contact for London Arts Council’s general email accounts and phoneline

  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Communicate and promote London Arts Council’s programs and services through social media under direct supervision of the Executive Director and Curators

  • Bring your enthusiasm and passion for the arts to the job everyday

  • Identify opportunities to grow and learn



  • Prior experience as a program/project assistant or operations assistant

  • Proficient with computer technology and Microsoft Office applications

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Professional and positive demeanor to represent the organization

  • Attention to detail with an ability to multitask

  • Good time management and organizational skills are an asset

  • Reliable and dependable

  • Willingness to learn and share your expertise
